We are looking for a candidate for the following position on behalf of our client:

Operations Director Central & Eastern Europe

As an Operations Director, you will take ownership of stabilizing and optimizing operations, working hands-on with teams, tackling complex challenges, and driving real change. You will play a key role in implementing processes, developing managers, and building strong, efficient structures across the CEE region.

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Acting as a Zero Harm ambassador by implementing and reinforcing safety standards across all regional teams within the CEE organization
  • Take full ownership of the operations budget for the CEE region.
  • Manage performance through key KPIs such as OTIF, cost to serve, and safety.
  • Guarantee smooth operational execution across all CEE countries.
  • Oversee regional distribution activities including Customer Service, After Sales, Technical Support, Warehousing, and Transport.
  • Provide clear direction by setting a strong operational vision for the organization.
  • Ensure alignment with colleagues from HQ on all operational processes and expectations.
  • Build strong coordination with local teams, customers, and sales across the region.
  • Represent operations as a key partner in regional and cross‑functional decision‑making.

We’re looking for you if you: 

 

  • have at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, managing operations within supply chain, logistics / warehousing
  • have solid expertise in managing both 3PL and in-house warehouse operations
  • have a proven track record in implementing processes and driving operational standardization
  • have a hands-on mindset and enjoy being close to operations, working directly with teams on-site
  • are an experienced people leader, with the ability to manage and develop managers
  • are familiar with SAP / ERP systems, Power BI, and MS Office tools
  • have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to navigate complex operational environments
  • are fluent in English (at least C1 level) and have proven experience collaborating in an international, cross-cultural environment
  • are open to frequent business travel across the CEE region
  • holding a valid driving licence

 

Nice to have:

  • Fluent Czech, Slovak or Dutch would be an asset
